Scientist here, but not a colorist. I seem to be missing some information. What are you trying to show me exactly? Are you trying to determine if everything is washed out of the hair? Also , what is the difference between the two demis (besides pH), and why is it interesting? Is it just that one demi has a pH indicator in it and the other doesn't? Also, 7 is neutral, not alkaline, so it probably doesn't start reacting at pH 7 unless it's a different type of reaction. I want to be able to follow your interest in this, but with the missing information, it's just not possible.

I've been using wow for many years. It is a good root Cover-up. It is not waterproof, this product does not work well in the hot summer heat on top of your scalp.

Good advice. Didn't work for me because it seems this relates to an issue of the solenoid lock, whereas my problem seems to be related to the cable not releasing the latch. Finally managed to get to open and then sprayed (a lot of) Teflon on the latch mechanism. Seems to have fixed the problem for now, but I'm guessing it's eventually going to need a proper repair. But if the lock ever fails I now know how to override it, so thanks again!

My problem btw is the opposite- I can’t lock it. I mean it won’t lock. I’m going to try the flat head screwdriver trick. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻.
